Popular Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has expressed frustration over the conduct of his parents at his white wedding to fellow internet personality Amadou Elizabeth, popularly known as Jarvis.
In a video circulating widely on social media, Peller alleged that both parents disregarded his request for a modest guest list and arrived at the ceremony with their respective romantic partners and additional friends.
The content creator said he had specifically instructed family members to invite only a few guests but was disappointed when the celebration became larger and more chaotic than he intended.
“My mother brought her boyfriend, my daddy brought his new girlfriend,” he complained, before describing the difficulties of growing up in a polygamous household.
Peller also accused some relatives of treating the wedding as an opportunity to generate social-media content, adding that the experience had left him angry and exhausted.
The remarks came days after Peller and Jarvis held their white wedding in Lagos, with family members, friends and entertainment personalities in attendance.
Although Peller presented the incident humorously, his frustration appeared genuine. His account suggested that what he wanted to be a controlled family celebration became another extension of the highly public lifestyle surrounding him.
The video quickly generated reactions on X, where viewers appeared divided between those amused by the family drama and those uncomfortable with Peller discussing his parents publicly.
One user, @Folabtoy, joked that the situation had moved beyond conventional polygamy.
“That’s not even polygamy anymore, that’s a Royal Rumble of side partners!” the user wrote.
Another commentator, @SammyAdept, questioned whether Peller’s parents were attempting to prove a point by attending with their partners, but also criticised the streamer for calling them out before the public.
Others argued that the issue should have remained private. @Toff4life asked why Peller felt compelled to bring the disagreement online, while @OmoKadupe05 described his conduct as disrespectful.
Some viewers, however, suggested that Peller’s unfiltered approach to personal matters is central to the online personality that built his following.
“Listen everyone, if this guy stops being uncultured, he will go broke,” @DanielIgbinewe4 wrote, suggesting that controversy and oversharing have become essential parts of the streamer’s brand.
The dispute has reopened conversations about the limits of online disclosure, particularly when creators build careers by livestreaming their relationships, family disagreements and personal milestones.
For Peller, speaking openly about the incident may have been an attempt to explain why the wedding did not unfold according to his plans. For critics, however, publicly identifying his parents and discussing their relationships crossed a line between entertaining transparency and avoidable family humiliation.
For many viewers, the incident was simply another chaotic and humorous chapter in Peller’s highly public life. For others, it demonstrated the personal cost of turning virtually every family experience into online entertainment.
