Armed bandits have kidnapped Iya Ayoka, the first wife of the Baale, or community head, of Dabu community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday night, August 21, 2026, when the attackers stormed the community and abducted the woman, taking her to an unknown location.
A local source said the bandits have been using the TikTok account of another victim, 23-year-old Babatunde Fasilat, to demand a ransom of N20 million and communicate with members of the public.
Fasilat was reportedly kidnapped in the first week of August after the bandits allegedly shot her father before taking her away.
The source said the latest abduction has heightened fear among residents, coming amid continued attacks and kidnappings across parts of Kwara South.
The exact whereabouts of Iya Ayoka and the other victims remain unknown as efforts to secure their release continue.
