PURPORTED INEC PUBLIC NOTICE ON APC CANDIDATES FOR LAGOS STATE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ELECTIONS
The attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been drawn to a document circulating on social media purporting to be an official INEC Public Notice containing the names of candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Federal House of Representatives elections in Lagos State for the 2027 General Election.
The Commission wishes to categorically state that the document is FAKE, misleading and did not emanate from INEC.
For the avoidance of doubt:
✓ The Commission has not authorised or published any such notice.
✓ The purported publication does not originate from any official INEC platform or process.
✓ The signature appearing on the document does not belong to the Secretary to the Commission and is therefore fraudulent.Members of the public, political parties, stakeholders and the media are advised to disregard the document in its entirety and rely only on information published through INEC’s official communication channels.
The Commission remains committed to providing timely, accurate and credible information on all electoral activities.
