Residents of Bauchi city witnessed an aircraft flying very low over the city at night, which caused fear and confusion among many people.
As heard in the video, some believed it was a dangerous aircraft or something unusual.
However, the aircraft is NOT dangerous.
The aircraft is called DA-63 Surveillance Aircraft, and it is operated by the Nigerian Air Force for intelligence gathering and security surveillance.
Bauchi has a Nigerian Air Force aircraft maintenance unit, and during night hours, aircraft often carry out night navigation and surveillance flights.
That is the reason for the red light seen on the aircraft.
There is no cause for panic.
