Money Ritual Gone Wrong: Lagos Barber Loses Sanity After Using Mystic Soap In Ogun, Native Doctor Allegedly Attacks Victim’s Mother

What was meant to be a shortcut to wealth has ended in tragedy for Sunday Victor Obamotula, a Lagos-based barber in Ojota, who allegedly lost his sanity after using a “mystic soap” obtained from a native doctor in Ogun State.

Family sources revealed that Obamotula traveled to Ijebu, Ogun State, to consult a herbalist identified as Idowu Onabanjo, seeking means of quick financial breakthrough. The native doctor reportedly gave him a ritual soap with instructions to bathe with it.

However, instead of the promised riches, the ritual allegedly backfired. Relatives said Obamotula became mentally unstable immediately after using the soap.

“He started talking to himself and complaining about seeing strange entities. He has not been himself since that day,” a family member said.

Since the incident, the family has taken Obamotula to several churches and spiritual healing homes in a bid to restore his mental health, but with no success. He is said to remain in severe psychiatric distress.

Tension escalated when the family confronted Onabanjo over the outcome. According to them, the native doctor became violent and allegedly attempted to strangle Obamotula’s mother during the confrontation.

The incident has shocked residents in Ojota and Ijebu, with community members warning against patronizing ritualists in the desperate pursuit of sudden wealth.
