The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, has declared that no presidential candidate should come to Osun State for campaign purposes except President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Oluwo made the bold declaration today at the flag-off of the Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan road reconstruction by President Tinubu at Aje International Market, Osogbo, Osun State.
The flag-off of the long-awaited road project — which directly passes through Iwo — provided the backdrop for the monarch’s strong show of solidarity with the President, whom he has consistently backed and praised for approving the reconstruction of one of the most important road corridors in Southwest Nigeria.
The Oluwo’s declaration signals an unambiguous alignment with President Tinubu ahead of future political contests and reinforces his position as one of the President’s most vocal traditional supporters in Osun State.
