The Federal Government has inaugurated the first National Agribusiness Strategy Youth Dialogue in Abuja, with the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, CON, Chairperson of the IFAD Governing Council, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to empowering young Nigerians as drivers of agricultural transformation and food security.

He said the dialogue aims to build climate-resilient and finance-enabled pathways for youth in Nigeria’s agrifood systems, noting that with youth making up over 70 percent of the population, their innovation and leadership are critical to addressing climate and structural challenges in agriculture.

Declaring the dialogue open, he called for stronger partnerships to support youth-led agribusinesses and strengthen Nigeria’s food systems.
