BUA EXPOSES EVIL HAND BEHIND FALSE STATEMENT ACCREDITED TO CAVENDISH BOSS, DRAGS HIM TO COURT

The BUA Group has been able to unravel the author of the fake press release wrongly credited to the former Cavendish Petroleum boss, Ibrahim Mai Daribe alleging that it was involved in shady deals over its OML101 oil bloc.

In a statement made available early this morning, by the management of BUA, they claimed that the statement originated from one James Onyejekwe, MD of Kainos Exploration and Production. Curiously, James Onyejekwe who falsely issued a statement on behalf of Cavendish Petroleum is neither a staff of the organisation nor was he employed by the former Managing Director of the oil company on behalf of who he allegedly issued the statement.

The BUA group in the statement claimed to have taken legal steps against the said impersonator.

Recall that a purported statement credited to Ibrahim Mai Daribe had alleged shady dealings by BUA with regards to an oil bloc.

Mai Daribe not only denied issuing the statement but also disclosed that he had  stepped down as the Managing Director of the Organisation for which he was said to have issued a statement.

BUA Group in its reaction restates the fact that it takes its public perception and reputation seriously and as one of the organizations with impeccable records in Corporate Social Responsibility, will not take Nigerians, Nigeria and indeed its business partners for granted hence its swift response to clear the air over the fake and malicious publication
