The Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku on Wednesday said none of his sons tested positive to COVID-19.
In a statement by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Bala Dan-Abu, the Ishaku described the rumour making round as the imagination of the social media.
“We wish to state categorically that no member of the first family in Taraba tested positive to COVID-19.
“In addition, none of the governor’s children is currently in Taraba State.
“The allegation on the social media has no element of truth in it.
“It is clearly the handiwork of mischief makers who are out to discredit the efforts of the governor in the fight against coronavirus in the state.”
Our correspondent reports that no confirmed case of coronavirus has been recorded in the state.
